Il gruppo gardenese The Zanzis, il cui nome è ispirato alla moka usata per la pausa caffè, nasce nel 2003 a Bolzano dove i giovani andavano a scuola.
Il repertorio comprende cover di canzoni italiane, tedesche e inglesi, ma negli ultimi anni il gruppo si è indirizzato verso uno stile proprio, proponendo delle canzoni scritte nella madrelingua dei suoi membri, il ladino.

Die Gruppe „The Zanzis“ wurde im Jahre 2003 in Bozen von einigen Schülern aus Gröden
gegründet. Der Name kommt von der Mokkakanne, die zur Zubereitung des Kaffees in den Probepausen diente.
Das Repertoire ist umfangreich und beinhaltet italienische, deutsche und englische Coverversionen. Seit einigen Jahren arbeitet die Gruppe allerdings auch an einem eigenen Musikstil mit selbstgeschriebenen Liedern auf Ladinisch, ihrer Muttersprache.

The band The Zanzis was founded in 2003 in Bolzano by a few pupils from Val Gardena. The name comes from the moka, the coffee pot used during the rehearsal breaks.
The repertoire is large and includes Italian, German and English cover songs. Since several years though, the band focuses on its very own style with songs written by the members themselves in Ladin, their mother tongue.
